How to Register
The first step after you decide to pursue the Grant Professionals Certification (GPC) is to register. Before you begin the process, it is a good idea to view the eligibility requirements. The GPC Exam registration includes three separate phases:
-
-
Packet. Successfully submit your packet for peer review. Within 24-48 hours of completing Phase 1, you will receive an email from GPCI with specific instructions on how and where to post your Eligibility Packet. To begin work in advance, simply download our template, found here:
Eligibility Template. You will have two weeks to complete the packet and submit it to GPCI for review.
-
Payment. Cost of exam registration, which includes ongoing scoring and exam development costs, may be found below. GPCI works with AAGP to accept credit cards, checks and purchase orders. If you are sitting for an exam held in connection with an AAGP conference, you may be able to submit a single payment.
- Instructions. Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive instructions on how to remit your examination fee.
Throughout the process, you will receive emails from GPCI. Should you become concerned about your registration at any time, please contact the Exam Administration Chair at reg@grantcredential.org.

*"Members" means members of a group affiliated with GPCI. At this time, the American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP) is the only affiliated organization. This relationship comes on the strength of thousands of hours invested by AAGP members into the credentialing process over many years, coupled with a substantial financial investment in GPCI's test development activities. Those who wish to join AAGP can do so at http://www.grantprofessionals.org.
Length of Certification: To maintain certification, holders will be required to participate in GPCI's Certificate Maintenance Program, which will require continued demonstration of activity and professional development in the field. Find details about the three-year certification maintenance cycle here.
